Songbird is a nice multiplatform media player and jukebox. This is the first pre release of the upcoming 0.3 version. Here is the list with the updates and new features:

• Tabbed Browsing

• Easier transfer of media.

• New Feathers API
• Register entirely new XUL Layouts as Feathers.
• Better CSS file set for inheriting or overriding styles.
• Make new UI for Songbird without scripting.
• Extensions overlay into XBL to not care about different Feathers.
• New Webpage API
• Control or interact with a visiting Songbird directly from your website without having to write or install any add-ons.
• Only with the user's permission, of course!
• New Search API
• Load 3rd party web search add-ons.
• Compatible with Firefox search API.
• Create custom library search add-ons.
• New Sidebar API
• Rearrange Playlists and Bookmarks as you see fit.
• Drag and drop between items.
• Tons of behind the scenes stuff that nobody cares about
• No really, you're better off not knowing.

Note: There are still some bugs and items that are not yet finished or working as intended.
